Share your story

Your voice, in your words

Write your story and, if you like, add a video, photos or audio. Every submission stays private and is reviewed by the ABMC team before anything is published — nothing posts automatically.

About you

Kept private. Used only to contact you about your submission.

How you’d like to be credited if published — a first name or initials is fine.

City, state or country only — never a street address.

Your story
Written story guidelines
  • Write clearly and respectfully in complete sentences.
  • No profanity, hate speech, harassment, sexual content, graphic violence, illegal activity or unauthorized copyrighted media/music.
  • Don’t include private information such as home addresses, financial details, or another person’s confidential medical information without authorization.
  • ABMC may make light edits for spelling, grammar, length and readability while preserving your meaning.
  • ABMC may contact you for clarification or final approval if material edits are needed.

Share your experience in your own words. Most stories are 300–1,500 words; a clear beginning (who you are), middle (what happened or what you’ve learned) and end (what you hope others take away) helps. Minimum 150 characters.

ABMC Video Submission Guidelines — please read before uploading a video
  • No profanity, hate speech, harassment, sexually explicit content, graphic violence, illegal activity, or copyrighted music/media you do not have rights to.
  • Clear picture and understandable audio; stable framing; clean background where possible.
  • Preferred formats: MP4/MOV, H.264 where practical. Minimum preferred resolution: 1080p.
  • Keep the subject well lit and centered with safe margins so the video can be adapted for web, YouTube, Shorts, Instagram Reels, TikTok and Facebook.
  • Prefer 9:16 vertical for short-form/social clips; 16:9 landscape is fine for interviews/long-form. Keep important content inside the center safe area so ABMC can crop/reformat.
  • No baked-in platform watermarks, and no copyrighted background music unless you have the rights.
  • Suggested length: short-form 30–90 seconds; longer story/interview clips up to about 5 minutes unless arranged with ABMC.
  • Speak clearly, avoid excessive background noise, and don’t include private personal information that should not be public.
  • After approval, ABMC may trim, caption, resize, normalize audio, add branding, create short clips and make accessibility edits (such as captions) without changing the speaker’s intended meaning.
  • All videos are reviewed by ABMC before posting.

RequiredDoes a minor (under 18) appear, speak, or be identifiable in your story or media?

Required. If yes, the parent/legal guardian permission below must also be given. ABMC may contact you to confirm guardian permission before anything involving a minor is considered for publication.

In plain language: ABMC may choose not to publish. You can withdraw permission for future ABMC uses and request deletion of private/unpublished materials by contacting ABMC, where legally and operationally feasible. Withdrawal does not undo prior lawful uses; third-party downloads, shares, embeds, reposts, archives or cached copies may not be fully retractable.
