Editorial standards
How ABMC chooses, checks, and updates what we publish.
Who publishes this content
Guides and resource pages are published by the ABMC Editorial Team at Autism Broadcasting Media Channel. ABMC is an autism media organization. Unless a page clearly says otherwise, our content has not been reviewed by a doctor, therapist, or lawyer, and we do not claim professional credentials we do not hold.
Educational information, not individual advice
ABMC provides general educational and media information. It is not medical, legal, educational, or financial advice for any individual. For decisions about a specific person, talk with qualified professionals. See our Disclaimer.
How we select sources
- We prioritize official government agencies and established national organizations.
- We link to the original source rather than summaries of it.
- We do not accept payment for resource listings and do not list sponsors or partners we have not documented.
- We avoid unproven treatment claims, and we do not publish statistics without a reliable source.
Verification dates
Each official resource shows the date ABMC last checked its link and description. Guides show the date of their last editorial update. Program rules change, so always confirm details with the agency.
Lived experience and professional guidance
Stories and video conversations share personal experience. They are valuable, but they are not clinical guidance, and one story never represents all autistic people. We label them separately from resource content.
Consent
Personal stories are published only with the storyteller’s documented permission, after private review. Nothing submitted through Share Your Story is published automatically. Details are in the Story Submission Terms & Media Release.
Video accessibility and transcripts
We state that a video has captions only after confirming them on YouTube. We publish a transcript only when an actual transcript exists; we do not generate or guess transcripts. Videos produced by other outlets are labeled as third-party.
Corrections
If you see an error, outdated link, or misleading wording, please tell us through the contact page. We review reports and update pages, including the “last updated” date, when a correction is needed.
