Draft — pending attorney review
Expert Corner terms and disclosures
Version 2026-10-13-draft-v1. These are draft terms that have not yet been reviewed by an attorney. They may change.
1. Educational submissions (free)
- Videos must be 2–5 minutes of general educational information. No patient-specific advice, diagnosis, protected health information, medical histories or promises of treatment outcomes.
- You confirm your identity, credentials and any license are truthful and current, and that the content is within your scope of practice.
- Roles that legally require a license must hold an active license. Credentialed but unlicensed roles are labeled by their credential only.
- You keep ownership of your content. You give ABMC a non-exclusive permission to review, caption, transcribe, publish and share the video on ABMC channels, and to remove it at any time.
- You confirm everyone shown has consented and you have the rights to all material in the video.
- ABMC verifies licenses manually with the issuing board. ABMC never marks a professional as verified without that check. Approval is not an endorsement.
- ABMC keeps full editorial independence. Submission, sponsorship or payment never guarantees publication or placement.
- You must disclose conflicts of interest and compensation; disclosures are shown with the video.
- Removal: you may ask us to remove your video at any time by contacting us. ABMC may remove content that becomes inaccurate, outdated, or if a license lapses.
2. Sponsored directory (proposed — not available)
Proposed monthly tiers: Free educational contribution Free, Featured Professional $29, Business Spotlight $79, Community Sponsor $149. No purchase is possible and no payment is collected until the payment flow and these terms are approved.
- Sponsored listings are always labeled “Sponsored” and kept separate from educational content.
- Sponsored placements are never presented as advice or as ABMC recommendations.
- Sponsors still need the same credential checks before listing.
- Billing, cancellation and refund terms will be set before any sale.
3. Privacy disclosures (draft)
- We collect your name, email, business details, profession, license details, links and video to review your submission.
- Your email, license number and expiration date are stored privately, seen only by authorized ABMC reviewers, and never published.
- Public profiles show only approved details: name, profession, specialty, jurisdiction, a verified credential label, topic, summary, disclosures and the published video.
- Please do not send license documents. We verify using public board records.
- We email you a confirmation and notify our team; we do not add you to a marketing list.
These drafts are marked for attorney review and are not a claim of legal compliance.
